A Big Indian Family

I want to pen down some of my thoughts after my encounter with a big Indian family who consider themselves as the epitome of love, unity and cultural values.  But is that really true, do they really understand the true meaning of love and unity? If you see through my lens I don't think they do. I have seen a lot of Indian families who have completely misunderstood the term "Indian Culture" and hide their deep rooted hypocrisy by calling their controlling behaviour as family values and culture. I want to highlight this point with some examples here and would like to welcome everyone to share their perspective on the same. Scenario 1 Everyone eats together. So, this family proudly says that being in the joint family give them the privilege to eat together and it feels nice when the whole family sits together for dinner on various occasions. Do you see anything wrong in the statement? I am sure no one will, it actually looks like an advantage of a big Indian family. But I se...

Doom of Rishikesh - Once a heaven, now a jungle of concrete!!

I have always been a proud resident of one of the most beautiful places of India. But it has now turned into a big concrete jungle. This is the Yoga Capital  where I use to wake up to the sounds of bird chirping, now all I listen is the unbearable noise of heavy construction machines. The mornings which used to give the breath of fresh air, now only offers the dust and pollution from these construction sites. The roads on weekends are full of honking vehicles. Everywhere you step out in the city, you'll find high rise hotel buildings and under construction sites. There is no space for nature anymore, trees are cut down, all the industrial waste is being dumped to Ganga River, the aquatic life is affected, the birds have moved, and animals are losing their habitats to deforestation. The city is only a big business opportunity for these rich industrialists and opportunists. Their marketing portfolios will suggest you come to Rishikesh to find peace, when they already have stripped al...

Indian Media - Group of fiction writers and yelling jokers

Profession - Journalism Job Description / Skills Required: Fiction writing - Cook up a sensational story and theory !!  Creativity - Create news headlines with no relevance to content !!  Presentation skills - How to present 2 mins content in an hour by repeating same line 50 times !!   Be Loud - Yell at top of your voice !!  The work by our media channels has gone down so drastically in the last few years. It seems like the job of journalists is to work from home, sit and think of a sensational fictional story and then present 10 minutes of content in a 1 hour show. The news show now a days consist of few yelling people who will be cooking up new stories with no facts and evidences. Each and every news headline is a question, not a statement. The news headline now a days are like Is Corona a hoax?  Was SSR murdered?  The Hathras case was planned?  There is no revelation, no evidence, no facts but only conspiracy theories. I never knew if this is...

Nepotism - What's your take?

A most common term we hear now a days is Nepotism aka parivaarwad or bhai bhatijawaad which exists almost in every field and most openly in politics and film industry. After the sad demise of Sushant Singh Rajput , this debate is started again in full swing. This wave has formed two groups, one that is completely against nepotism as Kangana Ranaut (who believes that there are always less opportunities and more struggle for outsiders. True.) and other that keeps justifying nepotism such as Ram Gopal Varma (shocked by his comments justifying nepotism which agitated me to pen down this article) and Karan Johar (who launches only star kids and says that it's his wish to work with whoever he wants to). Though parivaarwad is a common culture in politics as well, congress being the best example. What's your take? Is it wrong to help your family or is it possible for someone to choose talent over his/her family? I believe it is not possible to completely eradicate nepotism from socie...

Religion or Humanity - The choice is yours !!

An open letter to all social media accounts who are into business of creating religious chaos and to people who gets influenced by them.  To all "so-called" secular and non-seculars,  Sharing posts about Hindus and Muslims day-and-night is not going to save the country and world from this pandemic and many more to come.  The only thing that can save us is humanity and if any religion (by this I mean any religion) is teaching its preachers to keep the religion above humanity and above country, then they are pathetic, no matter of which religion they are.  The so-called liberals who keep sharing the posts of Hindus helping Muslims and Muslims helping Hindus (muslims going to temple, hindus giving shelter to muslims, muslim giving shelter to hindus etc) need to understand that you are only praising one or the other religion and giving a chance to ugly mindsets to turn it around.  The moment you share these posts you give a religious label to a persons good/bad deed...
